The Formenton Trophy is a regatta dedicated to those who spend their summer with a cruising boat, as did Mario Formenton, the man "with the sea in his eyes" who is remembered in this event, which has become a regular appointment for many friends in thirty years. Cruising boats, but also Regatta boats to give all owners and sailors the opportunity to experience a day among the islands of the Maddalena Archipelago, with that pinch of healthy competition that offers stories and jokes between the challengers on the quay and not in the days to follow.

To underline the non-professional spirit of the event, the CRUISE category (white sails) has been created for some years now, with great success, to which all owners who wish to participate but who, for various reasons, can only do so "armed" with mainsail and jib, can register.
